Core Management Competencies Series

This series is designed to help your managers be more effective in developing and retaining highly productive staff. It also is designed to help you minimize risks. It can be done as a series of four or two sessions or given all at once. It is an excellent addition to annual planning or quarterly management meetings.

A. Managing People While Minimizing Risk

Managers, as well as companies, are required to manage all personnel activities in compliance with all appropriate federal, state, and local laws and with applicable executive orders. This seminar discusses the major areas of human resources law and describes aspects and practices which managers need to understand and manage effectively to reduce risk. It is not focused on legal details but rather on effective human resource management practices.

Better communications is consistently a top concern of employees. A major aspect is day to day communications; yet, few people have had training in improving their ability to communicate effectively.
