Respectful Workplace

Federal and state laws require organizations to prevent illegal discrimination and harassment in the workplace. The Supreme Court has held that one method of defense to such charges involves having the right policies and TRAINING. This program takes your policies and practices and shows your staff what they mean every day at work.

Coverage includes all forms of illegal actions including sexual harassment, religious harassment, discrimination, and all other protected groups. It is an interactive seminar designed to ensure understanding and to provide you with documentation to reduce risk.

The seminar includes:

  • Definitions of illegal discrimination and harassment
  • Review of the civil and criminal laws involved
  • Discussion of both 'quid pro quo' and 'hostile environment' aspects
  • What types of harassment are most common
  • Impact of these behaviors on the work unit and organization
  • Supervisor's role in preventing harassment and discrimination
  • Reporting process and requirements

For executive or senior management groups, additional discussion of investigation options and processes is available.
